​AMANA MELOME' is a Euro-Caribbean-American singer-songwriter whose sound blends jazz lineage, soul, folk, and world music into a style that feels both timeless and borderless. Fusing the smoky, timeless phrasing of Billie Holiday with the neo-soul grit of Erykah Badu, Amana Melome’ is a captivating force in the modern jazz world!

Born in Germany and raised between the United States and Italy, her artistry is rooted in a global perspective shaped by travel, cultural immersion, and a deep family legacy in jazz. Her grandfather, Jimmy Woode, was the youngest bassist in Duke Ellington’s orchestra and performed with icons including Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, and Sarah Vaughan.

After stepping back to focus on motherhood, in 2026  Amana returns to the music world with a new album: RECALIBRATION.  A body of work shaped by inner strength, reflection, and a renewed creative consciousness.

 

Multicultural, multilingual, and multidisciplinary, she uses music and art as languages of connection, inviting listeners into a sound that celebrates oneness.
